Title Tags Optimization

Title tags are the first factors a search engines read at the pages of your website. Your tag optimization helps search engines and visitors find out what's each page about. To have a successful strategy in search engine optimization, you need to decide how to write the tags that make a difference.

The title tag is a piece of HTML code, located in the header section, that is not visible on the webpage itself. If using Internet Explorer, you can see what the Title tag is by viewing the blue banner at the top of the browser when on any web page. From a search engine standpoint, the title tag is the most useful piece of code on the page and typically carries alot of weight in the search engine algorithm.

Title tag optimization is very important aspect in website promotion. Title tags are very important place for inserting targeted keywords of your website. Every search engine first read the keywords which are present in the title tags. But you should not use more than 90 characters in title tags. Search engine will penalize on your site if your title tags contain many keywords.

Your title is the most important aspect of on page website optimization; more important than anything else. Before a search engine spider even looks at your website it first analyzes your title tags. This means that if you do not have a unique title tag for each page than it is very likely that page could be considered duplicate content and not be indexed by each search engine.

Having a good title tag that accurately represents the topic of your web page can affect your URL's click-thru-rate (CTR) in the SERPs. The title should be optimized in such a way that it conveys the main topic of your web page and lets the user know what to expect if they click on your link in the organic results.

A Title Tag is a small piece of code that goes into the header of every web page. If you're familiar with the code of your pages, then the Title Tag are the words between the sections. Whatever is entered here will display on the top of the browser window when a user is viewing that page. This helps to let your viewers know what that page is all about.

Search engines read your web site title and page contents, and if your web site title matched and thematic to your page contents, then your page will ranked high for the keyword phrases used in the title tag. If your web site title text differs from your page contents, your rank will be zero. So be careful while preparing your web page title.

Limit the length of the title tag to 70 characters (including spaces). Search engines usually truncate the title after 68-70 characters. This means you can use approximately 6-7 words. This increases your chances of getting all your words to display in all three major search engines.
